Meet Shai

Shai grew up in a small town outside of Tel Aviv, Israel.
After finishing his army duty, he went on a self-exploring journey in New York City.

The year was 2013. Shai was the leading assistant at Alibi NYC salon. Part of his role was shampooing hair, and the feedback was terrific. Clients were showering him with compliments over his hands, touch, and energy. He felt humbled and treasured by something he could not explain, so with the help of his friends and family; he found his passion for massage therapy and Eastern healing modalities.

He started his journey learning traditional Thai Massage. He got so fascinated with the bodywork and the long-lasting results of muscle tension relief, openness sensation within the body, energy restoration, and more.

After seven years in New York, he moved to South Florida. Fast forward a few years, and he became a licensed massage therapist.

Shai believes in “the power that makes the body, heal the body.” With that said, he aspires to help his clients to bring more awareness into their consciousness, increase their vibrations, connect with their higher selves, help them feel their energy in more profound ways, provide them with the proper knowledge and tools to promote self-healing most naturally and powerfully.

”The human body is such an incredible system that knows how to take care of itself as long we give it the right conditions, and we do not need to rely on pharmaceutical drugs to remain healthy.

Mother Earth provides us with all the medicine we need; trust your body to know how to break down those components and use them to strengthen our immune system, fight invader pathogens and correct the unstable connections within us.”

Shai’s life goal is to bring more awareness to natural healing and change how the medical system works to live a less stressful life with a couple more bucks in our pocket.

WHAT IS THAI YOGA MASSAGE?

Thai Yoga Massage is a unique style of massage modality based on the principles of compassion in Eastern medicine. Thai Yoga Massage combines numerous techniques such as leaning pressure, reflexology, energy meridian work, blood stopping, stretching, and yoga. It is an ancient technique and a genuine form of bodywork drawing upon an honorable tradition. Thai Yoga Massage originated in India and dated back around 2,500 years ago.

Unlike Swedish or shiatsu massage techniques, in which the client passively lies on a bed, in Thai Yoga Massage, the client lies on a mat on the floor. This arrangement allows the practitioner to use his center over, behind, or to the client’s side. By working together as one, the practitioner and the client, the Thai Yoga Massage process allows the client to gain complete body relaxation, increase range of motion, break down any energy blockages along the meridians, and restore and boost the client’s energy. The Thais believe that illness occurs where there is a lack of energy flow; therefore, good energy flow will prevent illness and sickness.

Thai Yoga Massage is a fully clothed modality. Both the practitioner and the client should dress in light, loose, and comfortable clothes that allow ease of movement, permitting stretching, flexibility, assisted yoga, and joint mobilization. Usually, Thai Yoga Massage starts by working on the feet and ends with the face and head. By starting with the feet, the therapist can move the client’s energy upward and, in turn, help increase blood flow and energy circulation throughout the body and reduce stress levels. With increased blood circulation, more oxygen will flow to the brain, which will help to decrease tension headaches. The slow movements allow the mind and body to slow down, get centered, experience true relaxation and promote the body’s ability for self-healing.

Thai Yoga Massage is based on the holistic point of view that any problem is not simply an illness of a particular part but rather a disorder of the whole being. All body parts are believed to have an organic relationship within an even greater whole nature. Because of this holistic approach, treatments are usually between an hour and a half to two hours long, allowing the entire body to be addressed.
